The band is taking America by storm. Apparently so much, that they are adding dates, cuz when I first checked out their tour dates, several of these were not on the list. One EskimO is now scheduled to return to Minneapolis (my current home) for the Basilica Block Party on July 9. Very exciting and I am spreading the word. Luckily for me, being a late NEWBIE, I secured tickets to see them live this weekend in Iowa which appears to be a small venue, so I am looking forward to an up front and personal experience. There will be 4 of us spanning 3 generations in age, driving 4 hours to see them. This is testimony to the universal appeal of their music, on many levels. Not being from Iowa, I really hope Iowans know how to be gracious hosts to our new friends from across the ocean. I will do my part. To those from the UK who miss their "boys", we appreciate your patience and sharing. You will have them to yourselves soon enough. This is the most recent update on tour dates that I could find. I check it out almost daily. Jun 18 - Southgate House (solo date) - Newport KY USA Jun 19 - Taste of Randolph Street (solo date) - Chicago IL USA Jun 20 - People's Court (solo date) - Des Moines IA USA Jun 21 - Waiting Room (solo date) - Omaha NE USA Jun 27 - KLLC Radio Show - Golden Gate Park - San Francicso CA USA Jun 28 - Largo (solo date) - Los Angeles CA USA Jun 29 - Fingerprints (in store appearance) - Long Beach CA USA Jul 01 - Anthology - San Diego CA USA Jul 07 - The Majestic - Madison WI USA Jul 08 - Rave Bar - Milwaukee WI USA Jul 09 - KTCZ radio show - Basilica Block Party - Minneapolis MN USA Aug 13 - Fox Theater - Boulder CO USA Aug 14 - The Fields at thingy's Sporting Goods Park - Mile High Festival - Denver, CO USA

Quick update. Four of us drove 4 hours to see One EskimO in concert at People’s Court, Des Moines, Iowa. It was fabulous. Their music is as good live as it is recorded and they played every song, which is a concert goers’ dream. We purchased CD’s, multiple T-shirts, and collected the “badges” and posters that they were giving out as “treasures”.
We were so excited and exhilarated after meeting Adam, Jamie, Kristian and Pete (in alphabetical order) that the 4 of us decided to drive another 2 hours to Omaha, Nebraska to see them again the next night at the Waiting Room. Along the way, we gathered 4 more people (relatives who live in Omaha) to go with us. There sat 8 of us, ages 15 to 54, waiting anxiously for a second night of music. It was hard to control the anticipation while the opening musician sang. Admittedly, I was a bit out of control, but had the time of my life. There were several tables of people who had also traveled a long distance to see the band. A bit of a fan competition ensued. We had a blast screaming like crazed lunatics after every song. It may have stunned the guys a bit, but we saw them smile.
The small venue made it one of the best concert experiences ever. We left that night, grinning from ear to ear. That little road trip will be talked about for many years to come, plus we have pictures galore to prove that we saw One EskimO “back when”.
That is the nicest group of guys. They were very receptive to answering questions, signing our treasured souvenirs and taking time with everyone who wanted to meet them. While it was Kristian that I desperately wanted to meet, it was EskimO Adam who won all of our hearts, unanimously. I will never forget his crazy head of hair flying around as he plays his cajon along with his million dollar smile and attitude. What a cutie!
In a recent interview, Pete called Adam a “child in a man’s body”. After thinking about that for awhile, it made me laugh. What a great compliment that was. To see the world through the eyes of a child is for every dawn to bring a new day, with new sensations, new opportunities and new amazements unencumbered by the previous day. If you ever get to talk to Adam, his enthusiasm is what will impress you the most.
We realize that our group wouldn’t describe their “usual” fan base, but we will never forget them.

In Kristian's most recent interview, he talks about deciding what the next single should be. That started the wheels turning.
One eskimO has such a following on Twitter and Facebook, that they could start a poll for their fans to vote for the next single. The band would reserve the right to the final decision.
If set up properly, 1) Fans could watch the progress of votes during a specified period before the final decision. 2) Links to snippits of the songs could be added, allowing fans to preview songs before voting. That would also provide a lot of exposure. People love an interactive feel to a website. Depending on popularity, it could encourage fans to check out other tunes that they may have initially passed over or not heard. Personally speaking, Kandi sparked my interest, but since then, I've come to love other tracks even more.
Might be a lot of fun. Another suggestion? If you were to get approval from the guys, possibly you could add a link to their Twitter and/or FB accounts that would link fans to this forum to vote. I’m thinking your forum would grow by leaps and bounds. Judging by some of the FB comments, fans want to communicate, but don’t know how to accomplish that. Besides, the link to this forum is virtually microscopic on their FB page.

Pretty excited about the Basilica concert tonight. I'm taking a whole new group of fans....All in all, I've introduced 10 friends to Oe amongst 3 concerts in 3 weeks. I wore one of my 2, new Oe T-shirts and "badges" to work cuz I have to go straight to the concert. That is attracting more interests for Oe as well. Waiting for 6PM CST to get here. There will be thousands of people attending tonight's event, so I doubt that my cheers will be heard over the crowd. But, I will give it my best effort. - Maggieb They head back across the ocean after tonight. But, I will continue to follow their journey & escapades...to possibly see them again in the future.

SHHH! Listen? I hear only quiet and crickets. (well ok slight exaggeration)
Does the blog stop when Oe is not touring?
Paul / Mark, get your buddies to toss their fans some tidbits to hold us over. We need paparazzi to get fans the scoop. Is a new album coming?
We should see something come into play this weekend with their gigs in Colorado.

It is pretty quiet at the moment, hopefully with the upcoming gigs in Colorado there will be more videos, pictures and interviews! In a recent interview for ExploreMusic, Kristian has said, 'We're always writing new songs...hopefully in the new year we will be finishing off the 2nd album'.
